Greg

You are correct.

C:\>tzutil /l

(UTC+09:30) Adelaide
Cen. Australia Standard Time

(UTC+09:30) Darwin
AUS Central Standard Time

Check with PowerShell:

PS C:\> ([System.TimeZoneInfo]::FindSystemTimeZoneById("Cen. Australia Standard Time")).SupportsDaylightSavingTime
True
PS C:\> ([System.TimeZoneInfo]::FindSystemTimeZoneById("AUS Central Standard Time")).SupportsDaylightSavingTime
False

Found one list where it says:

Adelaide = Cen. Australia Standard Time

Darwin = AUS Central Standard Time

Hopefully DST is the difference.

Subject: here's a question for the list: NT

Hi Everyone,

Here’s a question for the brains trust:

When configuring Windows timezones, what gets used for the Northern Territory?

“Cen. Australia Standard Time” I’m sure is for SA, etc. but would also include DST changes, where the NT doesn’t have DST. Is there some other timezone that works well for NT ?

Or is that the difference between “Cen. Australia Standard time” and “AUS Central Standard Time” ?

Regards,

Greg
