+1 vote for just running the Win servers in VMs on Windows 11.

Works well.

Subject: Re: [OT] Windows Server install problems

They took a lot of device support out of server along the way and that is when I stopped running it in my laptop. I'd install windows 11 and turn on hyper v and run server in a vm

I guess this means I must shop around for a hardware combination (or a whole box) that specifically runs the latest Windows servers. The price of that is worrying, and I need do the research. I've been lucky for the last 20 years because old work PCs could be rebranded as home servers without any hiccups at all -- Greg
